JAIWAVE
Privacy Policy
Draft — pending legal review. This page describes what JAIWAVE actually collects and how it's actually stored, factually, as of Closed Beta. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should not be treated as a final or binding privacy policy.
What we collect
If you create an account: your email address and password (password is never stored in plain text — authentication is handled by Supabase Auth). If you upload a song as a creator: the audio file, an optional cover image, the song title/artist name/story text you enter, the emotion tags you choose, your AI-disclosure answer, and a timestamp of your rights confirmation.
What we don't collect
JAIWAVE does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking service. A small internal event log exists for a few product interactions (starting a Daily Wave, completing a Soundtrack journey, creating a Share a Moment clip) — it records only opaque IDs, counts, and dates, never your email, name, lyrics, or file contents, and only appears in development-mode logs, not in production.
Where it's stored
All data is stored with Supabase (database and file storage). Audio and cover files you upload as Private or Unlisted are kept in access-controlled storage and served only via short-lived signed links (currently one hour), never as permanently public URLs.
Who can see your uploads
Private songs are visible only to you. Unlisted songs are visible to anyone who has the exact link, but are not listed, searchable, or indexed by search engines. You control this setting per song at any time.
Cookies
JAIWAVE uses only the session cookies Supabase Auth needs to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.
